- Bring your fire extinguisher(s), marked with your name and phone number, to the front desk from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday–Friday.
- Provide your contact info on the log-in sheet.
- Alpine Fire and Safety Systems will service your fire extinguisher and bill you directly.
Important: Most extinguishers must be recharged after each use.
An inspection is a quick check to give reasonable assurance that a fire extinguisher is available, fully charged and operable. Based on individual needs, inspections should be conducted when extinguishers are initially placed in service and once a year thereafter, to make sure the pressure gas is in the “green zone.” If not, your extinguisher needs to be serviced.
Fire extinguishers should be maintained when indicated by an inspection. Maintenance is a thorough check of the extinguisher, to give maximum assurance that an extinguisher will operate effectively and safely. It includes a thorough examination and any necessary repair, recharging or replacement. It will also determine if there is a need for hydrostatic testing of an extinguisher.
