Chief Holly vanSchaick brings a breadth and depth of leadership experience and knowledge to Orcas Island Fire & Rescue. Assistant Chief Don Swain has over 25 years of experience in the fire service.
Our officers include Captains and Lieutenants. These officers lead the volunteer Emergency Responders in the field. Volunteer Officers also lead responders.
Dr. Josh Corsa is our Medical Program Director. Dr. Matthew Russell is our Medical Program Director-Delegate who does QA/QC and Run Review with all responders.
OIFR volunteer responders include Firefighters, EMTs, Wildland Firefighters, and Rescue Technicians. Many of our responders are trained in multiple fields. They are highly-skilled and on-call 24/7.
