The Board of Fire Commissioners appointed new commissioner, Rex Chadwell, at a special meeting of the District on Monday, September 12th, 2022. Rex fills Seat #2 and will fulfill the unexpired term through December 2023, at which point a public election will be held for public vote for the remainder of the term.
Chadwell has called Orcas Island home since 2010, and brings with him a background in ambulance service management, finance and aviation.
