Learn lifesaving skills through Orcas Island Fire & Rescue. Our certified instructors teach American Heart Association courses that could help you save a family member, friend, or neighbor.

What We Offer

CPR and AED Training

  • Adult and child CPR techniques

  • Automated External Defibrillator (AED) use

  • Choking relief methods

  • Infant CPR

First Aid Certification

  • Scene safety and emergency response

  • Medical emergencies (breathing problems, shock, allergic reactions)

  • Injury care (bleeding, burns, broken bones)

  • Environmental emergencies (poisoning, temperature-related illness)

Advanced Courses

  • BLS for Healthcare Providers

  • ACLS and PALS for medical professionals

Class Details

Where: Eastsound Fire Station, 45 Lavender Lane

Certification: American Heart Association (valid for 2 years)

Group Classes: Regular public classes at the fire station

Private Classes: Available for businesses, organizations, and groups

Requirements: Minimum 3 students for group classes
