Starting October 12th, weather and environmental conditions permitting, OIFR will be selling burn permits for all applicable properties within its jurisdictional boundaries.
This change brings the permitting process closer to home, allowing our team to better serve you with localized support and enhanced community safety.
PLEASE NOTE: Cash payments must be the exact amount. $10 residential $300 commercial. OIFR will not make change.

Reducing fuel loads throughout district properties is an excellent way to help prevent wildfires, and burning responsibly serves as an efficient method to mitigate yard waste. By moving this service to the local district level, we look forward to working side-by-side with our neighbors to manage seasonal cleanup safely and effectively.

Summer: Burn ban June through September
Basic Requirements
Water source required (hose or buckets)
Metal shovel on site
Permit holder must be present
Check fire danger rating before burning
No burn barrels allowed
Recreational Fires (No Permit Needed)
Small campfires are allowed unless burn ban is in effect:
Maximum 3 feet diameter
Clean, dry firewood only
2-foot cleared area around fire
Must be in fire ring or pit
