Ever dream of being a Firefighter or EMT?

If you feel called to serve, consider becoming a Volunteer Firefighter or EMT with Orcas Island Fire & Rescue. Emergency responders become an extended family providing a valuable service to their Orcas Island neighbors.

Becoming an emergency responder takes commitment and hours of training. It can be a life-changing decision—but one that brings great reward. Along with relying on fellow responders in challenging situations, the trust and connection that comes with being part of a life-saving team must be experienced to be understood.

OIFR also has non-emergency support opportunities for volunteers. Become a valuable contributor to your fire and rescue department!
