to the awards given at OIFD 60th Anniversary dinner
held at Rosario on February 2nd, the following
members received service pins commemorating their
length of service in serving the Orcas Community!
5-year pin: Lt. Chad Kimple, Firefighter/EMT, Lt. Mik Preysz, Frefighter/Paramedic and Lt. Paul Turner, Firefighter/EMT. Plus the Auxiliary Team: Vicki Bartram – team leader, Irene Anda, Judy Binney, Merry Bush, Velma Doty, Judi Madan, Carol McCoy, Sami Messenger, Peja Schusler, Kim Wareham, and Judy Whiting,
10-year pin: Commissioner Clyde Duke, Lt. Valerie Harris, Firefighter/Paramedic, Maria Nutt, EMT, and Bob Phalan, EMT, 15-year pin: Lt. Bob Nutt, Wildland Firefighter/EMT, Perry Pruett, Firefighter/First Responder, Roy Stanton, Firefighter and Firefighter/Wildland Firefighter Philo Lund. 20-year pin: Capt. Rita Harvey 25-year pin: Bruce Brackett, Firefighter, 27 years, Judi Madan, CISD Team Leader and former EMT plus dispatcher, Dave Mowrey, Firefighter/EMT and Dave Zoeller, Paramedic. 30-year pin: Lt. Jeff Jones, Firefighter/First Responder

-+Bruce Brackett was honored with his late 25 year pin after 27 years of volunteer service. He is credited with the first improvements to the training division, opening the door to the current high standards firefighters now achieve.

Jeff Jones is currently the longest volunteer member with 31 years. He joined at the age of 18 and has served as firefighter, EMT, Station Lt., Station Captain and Battalion Chief over the years. He is still an active volunteer firefighter, officer and First Responder.
