Location of Fire Stations on Orcas Island
Station 21 -Eastsound

“Station 21” was built in 2001 and is staffed 24 hours a day. It is the home of our paramedics, the response point for all of our transport units and our administrative center. The district’s maintenance shop is also located here. It provides a comfortable meeting room available, free of charge, for non-profit public use. Station 21’s response area stretches from the “map corner” to “Ship’s Bay”. The central division has one engine, one rescue, one brush truck and two aid units. All of our medical and rescue services are dispatched from Station 21.
Station 22 - West Sound
“Station 22” was built in the 1980’s by our members and is located at the intersection of Orcas Road and Deer Harbor Road. It serves the West Sound communities as well as Mt. Wollard and is a two-bay station that houses 1980 Ford Fire Engine and a Sterling Vacuum Water Tender.

Station 23 - Rosario
Station 23 is located at 53 Firehouse Lane in the Rosario Community. The fire station provides coverage for all of Rosario, Highlands, and the majority of the Moran State Park. One engine and one water tender are housed at the station. Station 23 also has a training/meeting room, bathroom, and an office/dorm room.
Station 24 - Deer Harbor
Station 24 is located at 41 Channel Road in the Deer Harbor Community. This station is a masonry block building, which barely houses a 1982 GMC Fire Engine. Its response area is from “Massacre Bay” through the rest of the southwest side of Orcas Island. It is scheduled for replacement.
Station 25 - Olga
Station 25 is located at 267 Obstruction Pass Rd adjacent to the Olga community and responses to calls just south of Moran State Park to Pioneer Hill Rd off of Pt. Lawrence Rd. It is a two-bay fire station, which houses a 2005 Seagraves Fire Engine & a 1977 Ford Water Tender.
Station 26 - Orcas Village
Station 26 was built in 1981 and its response area is from the WA State Ferry Terminal to the 2700 block of Dolphin Bay Rd. Station 26 is located at 1163 Killebrew Lake Rd and is a two-bay station that houses a 2005 Seagraves Engine & a 1978 Ford Water Tender. The Islands oil spill association stores their boom response trailer at Station 26 for quick access and response.
Station 27 - Doe Bay

“Station 27” is located at 3634 Pt. Lawrence Road and serves the Doe Bay and Eagle Lake communities. It was built in 1969, by the Doe Bay Community, with financial support from the school district. It houses an engine and a school bus plus serves as the Doe Bay community center.
